Dear John,
Thank you for your message. TV programmes on Victory Day usually include war films, documentaries about the Great Patriotic War and interviews with the war veterans. There are also military parades held in every big city and they are also broadcasted. As a rule, we watch Moscow parage and then Saint-Petersburg parade which usually starts a bit later. At school we are also shown short movies about the War and take part in poetry or art competitions dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. Our school traditionally organizes a concert for the veterans and those who lived in Leningrad during the Seige, we sing war songs and recite war poetry.
Where did your dad go on his business trip? Was it successful?
Best wishes,
Kate
